wisdom peace andrew zuckerman
i just found this book in our house. it's short, it reminded me of people of new york. a book i read showcasing pictures and peoples quotes around them.
this one focuses on peace based quotes. it's from the mid 2000's so
i dunno. that's when i grew up. so i remember people being very optimistic about the future of the world and how everything was going.
but it certainly seems that since then... things have gotten bad, or much worse.
sure maybe that's just the internet, or just seeing how it's treating some of us.
i dunno, i don't think things are that bad, or the world has gotten that much worse overall? i'm sure it's actually much better and we keep on improving in all sorts of ways.
we aren't as racist or abattle hungry as we used to be. not as many crimes happen, and people care more about the environment or the way they are living there livves.
but also... i dunno, it feels like everyone is struggling more and more than ever before, or some things feel completely out of control?
this isn't something that i've noticed just in this book. i've been noticing these feelings of hope in quite a lot of media that was around when i was a kidl.
i wonder what the more recent media now says... since i don't tend to use social media, on account of it being so negative, i don't really know.
isn't that... strange? i can't bring myself to even use social media. so i went back to reading books, or having little experiences by myself instead.
i think that's a better thing overall honestly. but, i can't help but see it as a problem also?
yeah i dunno
thanks for reading
