the language of liars : s. l. huang
what an interesting science fiction book.
it was so intriguing wrapping my head around all of the different languages being mentioned and imagining all of the different creatures being mentioned and involved as well.
i wasn't expecting to like it going in, mostly because i haven't read much science fiction and i wasn't sure what to expect.
the title and the cover art drew me in, and do i decided to give it a try, that plussssss it is a short book.
i wasn't expecting it to be about how a civilizatoin collapses... at least not like that.
the... hmm how does one learn about a new species? i certainly don't think that we do it right as humans. we do not truly seem to respect any other animals that are around us, or the other " races " of humans... let alone ourselves. generally speaking.
that's...sad. it makes me realize that there is much to be desired.
we have much to change about ourselves and about those that surround our lives.
i really don't know what to think after the book.
just to be in awe of it. it must have been such an undertaking.
props to the writer there.
thanks for reading
