being frustrated with nix
oh well i missed a day. still gonna plow ahead and keep trying to write stuff though!

gosh darn it has niri and nixos been kicking my arse when it comes to understanding what it is i'm trying to be doing here.
i have no freaking clue!!!
and then i get random errors that are hard to look up, or that get me weird results... and i'm struggling.
heck i've been struggling with this problem for over a month.
i came across niri as a neat infinite scrolling tiling manager, and thought oh cool lets try that out! then when i got it on my nixos i loaded in and lo and behold!!!! i had no internet, and some other things were wildly out of place and i had no idea how to configure anything!!
so i took it off, simple enough in nix, just delete some files and then reload it and you are golden.
then vimjoyer came out with a video about how to do this all with the dendritic pattern and i went yeah lets do that! i then struggled with it for the next month, before finally just asking for help and getting some but i'm still just gonna struggle to get it until i do.
sojmetimes you just have to. until things click in your mind.
i think i'm almost there but there is certainly things that aren't making sense still... but everything that i look up helps my understanding and makes things clearer in my head.
what a frustrating thing, being stuck trying to figure something out for so long and not making that much progress on it!

and i want to make progress, so geting frustrated isn't the right answer. but it is okay to feel frustrated and try other things in the mean time and then come back to it later. at least that's what i tend to do most of the time anyway!
